Congrats Devs, you nailed it. Great sense of wonder, wonderful environments, great story, voice acting, music score and fun gameplay. And it runs very smoothly. This game is a keeper. Just make sure to pick it up when it's on sale.. Just wow. This is an absolutely solid VR game: immersive, beautiful graphics, solid voice acting and plenty of objects to grab and inspect (although the limits of interaction remain limited as you cannot actually "use" any of the objects you grab or hold except for a very limited number of items). Absolutely loved it and the price is just right. Way to go dev and I look forward to your next product! Absolutely recommend this.. This is a great game! The house is absolutely beautiful and much larger than i expected which is a nice surprise(I've yet to experience the entire mansion). Games like this need support to keep VR growing and to raise the quality bar for others. Pros:*Beautiful graphics for VR*Gorgeous mansion with plenty to look at*So far an interesting story*Most everything is interactive/physics object*Fairly simple but still fun*The interaction with objects (pushing/pulling/grabbing) is right on point*Great particle effects *Optimization is for this game is outstanding. gtx 1080 on max settings and not a single stutter *CHEAP, very fair price for such a quality gameCons:*I do wish the puzzles weren't pretty much the same but this isn’t a huge con. Also i think im maybe 30-40% into the game so maybe there is some more variety coming.*Not having smooth turn is a huge con for me, i hate fighting with the 30/45 degree turns trying to line myself up to go where I want. This ruins the immersion for me. I've finish the game. I would recommend this for the detailed world they created and the story. Both have kept me interested. The puzzles feel about the same all the way through, but the rooms give them variety. They get a little more complicated at the end, but not much more. I was immediately frustrated with the motion as smooth walking is really slow. I ended up going with teleporting, which is limited to a short distance but you can spam teleports to move faster than walking. Be careful not to run away from the floating light that tells you stuff, because it doesn't follow you and you can miss details. I also had one crash near the end of the game that broke the floating light for a bit until I had restarted the save a couple times and then the floating light started working again. I almost gave up on finishing the game.The other thing that annoyed me initially was the object physics, although that is hard to do in VR. You can pickup almost anything and then ram it into other things and send them flying all over the place. Once you start doing puzzles this won't really matter as much, but initially it seemed like it was going to be really annoying. I think really this makes doing the puzzles a little less frustrating than they would be otherwise.. This is a fantastic game for KIDS maybe ages 9-14. Splendid graphics and storyline, worth every penny if you wanna keep them occupied for a few hours. The in-game activities are just right for that age range. As for adults, I wouldnt recommend this for someone who is seeking a deeply challenging and philosophiocal adventure. Its just too simple, and lost my interest after 45 minutes. The environment is very Bioshocky as it has the steampunk 1950s mystery aquatic mansion theme going for it. Its was quite nostalgic if you're a fan of that game, but alas... it didnt grab me as i was hoping.. All in all, Torn is fun at first but quickly becomes repetitive (which I why I got a refund as its price/value didn't impress me). I've encountered a few bugs such as my controllers being inverted (easily solved by switching controllers) and game crashes. I'd say what the game does best is the graphics, and what it does worst is the repetitiveness of the puzzles.I guess I'd recommend the game to people who just want to relax and enjoy a quiet VR puzzle game.6.5/10
